We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals with a passion for vehicles and the motor trade, to join our accident repair centre in Corby, Northamptonshire as an apprentice Multi-Skilled Vehicle Accident Repair Technician.

Venue: Baldwins of Corby, Pilot Road, Phoenix Parkway, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN17 5YH
Timings: There will be two sessions: 10.30-12.00 and 12.30-14.00.
On the day, you will have the opportunity to try your hand at spray painting in our paint booth, rubbing down filler and stripping and refitting a bumper. Plus there will be competitions with some great prizes up for grabs and demonstrations from our expert team members and suppliers.
We’ll also have on site some of our approved manufacturer and insurer vehicles including the bright pink Sheilas’ Wheels Cadillac!

The programme lasts for 2 years and includes on the job training at our Corby repair centre alongside our expert mentors; plus classroom sessions at EMTEC college in Ruddington, Nottingham.
The course will provide you with the key skills required to repair accident damaged vehicles from start to finish, including:
• Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (MET): You will learn the strip and refit processes of all main vehicle systems, plus access, remove and reinstall mechanical and electrical components/systems.
• Panel repair: You will learn to repair and replace panels and carrying out techniques such as welding, plus You will get to use specialist body jigs and tools.
• Paint: You will learn how to prep and carry out paint refinishing using techniques including; sealing, masking, priming and applying base coat and lacquer.
On successful programme completion, apprentices will gain a full-time position within Baldwins Repair Group.
To be accepted onto the programme you must have three GCSEs, or equivalent, including English and Maths. If you have just taken your GCSEs, please include your expected grades.
