Investing in apprentices is of utmost importance for the growth and development of any organisation and the recent two-day training session organised by Steer Academy and hosted by 3M exemplifies the significance of such investments. By inviting 10 apprentices who were at the beginning of their apprenticeship journey, the session aimed to provide them with valuable skills and knowledge.

The training covered a range of essential topics including health and safety, repair processes, panel preparation, and paint application techniques. Moreover, the sessions emphasised environmental good practices, waste reduction, and energy efficiency, instilling these values early on in the apprentices' careers. This approach not only enhances their technical abilities but also cultivates a sense of responsibility towards sustainability.

The involvement of Chris Colton and Michael Massey from 3M deserves special recognition for their positive and engaging training approach. Their dedication ensured that the apprentices remained actively involved and motivated throughout the sessions.

Chris Colton Said : “It’s a fantastic pleasure to work with the future technicians of the accident repair industry. The willingness to learn and ability to adapt is incredibly impressive and I am extremely proud and honoured to work alongside the group to show and train the best possible practices to our potential industry leaders.”

The development of our apprentices not only equips them with practical skills but also fosters their confidence and understanding in the workplace. By providing opportunities for apprentices to learn and grow, we create a skilled and knowledgeable workforce that contributes to long-term success.
