Today sees the launch of the Steer Commercial Division with the welcoming of C&C Vehicle Services into the Steer family.
C&C Vehicle Services has five sites spread nationally along major traffic routes with plans to grow the footprint. The acquisition complements our current national network of passenger car repair locations and delivers on our stated ambition to enter the rapidly growing commercial vehicle sector with a specialist division focussed on the LCV market.
Established in 1986, C&C Vehicle Services has grown successfully and developed a class leading reputation, providing repair and refurbishment services for commercial vehicles and trailer units from 3.5 tonnes through to 44 tonnes. With over 35 years’ experience, C&C work with a customer portfolio spanning retail, logistics, waste management as well as leading insurers and commercial fleet managers.
Mark Newnes, Managing Director of C&C Vehicle Services, is remaining with the business and will join the Steer Automotive Group operating board, continuing to lead the business and expand the Steer Commercial division from the acquired C&C business platform in support of the growing Commercial and Light Commercial vehicle markets.
Our strategy has always been to grow our existing proposition and to include commercial vehicle specialist locations throughout the country. LCVs represent one in ten new vehicle registrations in the UK and our insurer and accident management clients are looking for specialist operations to tackle this growing sector. We are therefore excited to launch Steer Commercial and welcome Mark Newnes, Darren Charlesworth and the accomplished team from C&C Vehicle Services to the Steer family and look forward to supporting them as we grow this important division of our business.
