What a night! ✨ The Nottingham College Apprenticeship Awards 2025 brought together an inspiring group of people — apprentices, mentors, employers and advocates — all working to shape the future of industry through skills, support and opportunity.
We’re incredibly proud to have been named:
🏆 Large Apprentice Employer of the Year.
This award reflects the commitment shown across our business to create meaningful career pathways, nurture talent, and invest in the future of our sector. It’s a recognition not just of a programme, but of the people who make it work every day — from our trainers and site mentors to our dedicated Academy team.
We’re also proud of the two individuals who represented Steer as finalists on the night:
✨Daniel Thacker, a finalist in Apprentice of the Year, who earlier this year took the top spot in our internal Body Repair Skills Competition.
✨Jim Swann, a finalist in Apprentice Champion of the Year, recognised for his outstanding support and advocacy for apprentices.
Congratulations to Daniel, Jim, and to all the finalists and winners across every category. The standard of entries was exceptional, and the evening was a brilliant reminder of how vital apprenticeships are to our industry’s future.
Here’s to continuing that momentum.
